AUSGCH Kalora Quality Control x USCH Wonderland Through the Looking Glass
It is with the greatest pleasure that I am able to announce that my good friend, Sonya Ferrari – Summerland Cardigans, Temescal Valley, CA – and I are partnering on this exciting litter!
Several years ago, while Rebecca Jamieson – Kalora Cardigans, Australia, – was showing “Bobby,” I became intrigued by the many beautiful photographs of him that she was sharing on Facebook. Before long, Rebecca and I began a conversation
that eventually led to her graciously offering Bobby’s service to me. It was an honor I greatly appreciated and one I happily accepted.
From that moment forward, I began making plans to take full advantage of this unique breeding opportunity and set out to produce a beautifully linebred good moving bitch with exceptional virtues and few faults that was clear for coat. “Mirror” – Wonderland Through the Looking Glass – was born in 2023, a lovely puppy from a litter deep in quality, and a fine example of my line. As she matured, I knew she was exactly what I had hoped for.
Along the way, I met and began mentoring Sonya, who has since become a very dear friend. During one of our lengthy conversations, I told her about “Bobby”, this beautiful dog from Australia. After seeing his photographs, she, too, became quite enamored with him, so I decided to ask if she would like to partner with me on this venture, and much to my delight, she agreed with great enthusiasm.
When “Mirror” came of age and was just one point shy of her AKC Championship – having won 3 Majors with me – she was shipped to Sonya in California who skillfully handled her to earn a fourth Major and that final championship point. Months later she was bred to “Bobby”, and now we are absolutely thrilled to announce that Mirror’s pregnancy ultrasound revealed 6 – 7 puppies on board and they are due on Thanksgiving Day. How fitting!
We both feel a tremendous responsibility to ensure that these puppies, should they prove themselves worthy as show and breeding prospects, have the opportunity to become valued members of good breeding programs here in the United States. With that in mind, we are welcoming inquiries from established and aspiring breeders at this time.
A stunning dog with a thrilling sidegait, “Bobby” had a brilliant show career, which included Reserve Best in Show wins and multiple Group wins and placements before his untimely passing. Because he is no longer with us, makes the opportunity to preserve and carry forward his exceptional qualities all the more meaningful, and gives us yet another reason to feel so strongly about the thoughtful placement of these puppies.
I’m sharing some of the photographs that first captured my heart and made me fall in love with “Bobby”. I’m know many of you felt the same way when you first saw him.
Please feel free to contact me or Sonya for additional information.
